A popular snack for toddlers has been recalled after multiple children choked on the product, according to the FDA.
The health agency published a recall notice for Once Upon A Farm Tractor Wheels Organic, Toddler Soft-Baked Bars on Oct. 30.
The FDA said the recall came after it received several reports of toddlers ages 1.5–2.5 years suffering complete airway obstruction with the inability to breathe after eating the product.

“When chewed, the product reportedly forms a dry, sticky mass that standard choking interventions — including back blows and the Heimlich maneuver — may fail to dislodge. Some reported choking incidents have required emergency response intervention and hospital observation,” the FDA wrote.
The recalled products include Apple, Sweet Potato, & Spinach Tractor Wheels, Strawberry, Pumpkin, & Beet Tractor Wheels and Banana, Pumpkin & Cauliflower Tractor Wheels.
The company behind the product agreed to initiate a recall and warned customers against buying or serving any of the affected products. No other Once Upon a Farm products are impacted by the recall, the company said.
“This decision was based on three consumer complaints. We acted out of an abundance of caution, in the best interest of our customers and our commitment to quality,” Once Upon a Farm said in a statement.
“We know that parents place their trust in us every time they buy one of our products. We fell short of that, and that is why we are taking these aggressive actions.”

Parents can return the product to the location of purchase for a full refund.
The snacks were sold nationwide online and at stores, including Costco, Target, and Walmart. It may be sold elsewhere, such as Amazon.com and other third-party vendors.
Retailers have been told to stop selling the sell product. To report a complaint or adverse event, visit Industry and Consumer Assistance.
Caretakers should call 911 in the event that someone is choking and other first aid measures to dislodge the obstruction have failed.
