President Donald Trump addressed the daytime rollover crash involving Tiger Woods on Friday that resulted in the 15-time major winner being arrested on a DUI charge after authorities suspected he was driving impaired.
Speaking to reporters after arriving in Miami, the president spoke briefly about Woods. He said he was only aware of the accident at the time he made his remarks.

“I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty,” Trump said. “There was an accident, and that’s all I know. Very close friend of mine, he’s an amazing person, an amazing man, but some difficulty.”
Woods is currently in a relationship with the president’s former daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump.
He competed in the TGL championship earlier this week, where Vanessa Trump and her daughter, Kai Trump, were spotted in the stands. It was Woods’ return to competitive golf after he ruptured his Achilles last year ahead of the Masters.
Trump previously spoke out about the pair’s relationship, saying he gave Woods his blessing when they first spoke about it.

“He told me about it, and I said, ‘Tiger, that’s good, that’s good. I’m very, happy for both.’ But they just let them both be happy. Let them both be happy. They’re both great,” Trump said in March 2025.
Woods was charged with DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a test after law enforcement said he collided with another vehicle Friday afternoon while driving impaired.
“DUI investigators came to the scene here, and Mr. Woods did exemplify signs of impairment. They did several tests on him. Of course, he did explain the injuries and the surgeries that he had. We did take that into account, but they did do some in-depth roadside tests,” Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said during a press conference Friday.

“We really weren’t suspicious of alcohol being involved in this case, and that proved to be true at the jail. … But when it came time for us to ask for a urinalysis test, he refused. And, so, he’s been charged with DUI, with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.”
The five-time Augusta National winner was noncommittal about playing at this year’s Masters recently, but Trump said during an interview on “The Five” Thursday that Woods would be at Augusta but would not play.

ANTALYA, Turkey — Players held small backpacks as Iran‘s national soccer team used a match against Nigeria on Friday to honor the victims of a deadly missile strike on an elementary school.
More than 165 people were killed, most of them children, when a Feb. 28 strike, likely launched by the U.S., hit the school in southern Iran.
Neither the United States nor Israel has accepted responsibility for the attack, which has come under staunch criticism from the United Nations and human rights groups. The U.S. military is investigating and has said it would never target civilians.
During the national anthem Friday, the Iranian team honored the memory of the slain children by placing small pink and purple school backpacks in front of them.
Video of the ceremony also showed the players wearing black armbands in remembrance of those killed since the war began.
The match was played in Antalya, southern Turkey.
Nigeria won 2-1 in a game that was a World Cup tuneup for Iran, ahead of the tournament being co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.
Iranian government and soccer officials have said they do not want to boycott the World Cup but that it is not possible for the national team to go to the U.S. because of military attacks on Iran by Israel and U.S.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino has dampened Iran’s attempts to move its matches, saying global soccer’s governing body wants the tournament “to go ahead as scheduled.”
Separately on Friday, Iran’s judiciary threatened to seize the property of soccer player Sardar Azmoun, two semiofficial news agencies said. The announcement follows threats from Iran’s hard-liner judicial chief that authorities planned to seize the assets of celebrities viewed as critical of the government.
Large, palm-sized spiders are spinning massive golden webs across porches and power lines, and, according to experts, they’re here to stay.
The Joro spider, which has a leg span up to 4 inches and markings of neon yellow, blue-black and red, was first recorded in Georgia in 2013.
Since its arrival — likely as a hitchhiker on a shipping container or an airplane from Asia, experts say — the arachnid has been steadily marching north.
The spiders have so far been spotted in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
They are expected to spread throughout eastern North America, at least as far north as Pennsylvania and possibly further in warmer, coastal areas, according to Penn State.

To travel, the spider uses a technique called “ballooning,” in which hatchlings release fine silk threads that catch air currents and carry them over long distances.
Ian Williams, an entomologist with Orkin, said he counted 200 adult spiders by September of last year on his one-acre property near Atlanta.
“They’re quite intimidating looking spiders, and they make very large webs,” he told Fox News Digital. “The webbing itself, if it catches the sunlight, has a golden hue to it. And it’s very strong.”
Despite the arachnid’s striking appearance, experts agree that people shouldn’t panic. Research shows the Joro is among the “shyest” spiders ever documented. When disturbed, they often sits motionless for over an hour rather than attacking.

“While they’re large spiders, they don’t have large fangs. And, so, it’s difficult for them to bite humans,” Williams noted.
Even in the rare event of a nip, the expert said the venom is weak, comparable to a localized bee sting, and carries “no medical importance.”
As an invasive species, the Joro’s impact is still being weighed by scientists.
“One of the big concerns is that they potentially out-compete native species of spiders,” Williams said.

Clavicular, the 20-year-old controversial social media star born Braden Eric Peters, has made the headlines this week after he was arrested in Florida on an assault charge.
Peters is known for popularizing the term “looksmaxxing”, which is the theory that maximising one’s physical appearance — often through aggressive methods and surgical intervention — will lead to success with women.
He is the first star from the online male “looksmaxxing” community, which holds male attractiveness as the key to overarching superiority. He gets his name from the clavicle (the collarbone), a highly prized feature within the online community.
Peters initially went viral on TikTok and Instagram through clips of him “mogging” other men — which means standing next to someone to make them look less attractive by comparison — and brutally rating other people’s appearances.
He now spends about eight hours per day livestreaming on the site Kick, where he receives more than 10,000 concurrent viewers.

As his online presence has grown, Peters has been associated with influencers from the far-right and the manosphere, a corner of the internet where misogynistic ideas are peddled by so-called men’s rights activists, incels, and pick-up artists. They typically believe that society is biased against men.
Earlier this year, Peters partied at a Miami nightclub with Nick Fuentes, a far-right commentator, and the manosphere influencer Andrew Tate, who is being reinvestigated for alleged rape and sexual assault offenses first reported in 2014 and 2015.
The New York Timesreports that Peters was captured in videos shared online alongside Fuentes and Tate, in which the three men chanted along to the Ye track “Heil Hitler.”
Peters claims to have been “looksmaxxing” his appearance since the age of 14. In an interview with The New York Timespublished in February, Peters revealed that he had injected and ingested dozens of substances, including testosterone replacement therapy, to “ascend,” which is a looksmaxxing term for becoming more handsome.

Peters, from Hoboken, New Jersey, is the son of a businessman and a stay-at-home mom.
At school, Peters reportedly struggled with small talk, social cues and low self-esteem. He would spend time on Photoshop, readjusting his image to imagine what his face would look like after his desired surgeries.
While Peters has never been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, he frequently refers to himself as an “autist.” He calls his way of seeing the world a “gift.”
On March 26, Peters was taken into custody by Osceola County authorities and faces one count of battery
His bail has been set at $1,000 and his expected release date is listed as April 10.

The arrest came a day before the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced in a statement that it had launched an investigation into a viral clip involving an alligator.
In a video posted this week, Peters is seen riding an airboat with three other people and opening fire on the floating reptile. It’s not clear if Clavicular’s arrest is related to the video.
Under Florida Statute 379.409, it is illegal to kill, injure, possess or capture an alligator unless an individual is authorized to do so. Attempting to kill or injure alligators is also strictly prohibited.
As the investigation continues, the FWC says it will provide information when it becomes “available.”
The Dow Jones Industrial Average entered correction territory Friday after five straight weeks of losses, as investors worry the Iran war could lead to a long-term disruption of Persian Gulf energy supplies and fuel a new wave of global inflation.
The Dow Jones tumbled 793 points, or 1.7%, to 45,167 on Friday. The index has shed 10% of its value since reaching a high of over 50,000 points in February, crossing the threshold for entering a market correction.
Other indices also tumbled on Friday, with the S&P 500 slumping 108 points, or 1.7%, to 6,369 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq declining 2.2%.
The S&P 500 has dropped back to its level in August and is now 8.7% below the all-time high it reached in January.
Investors are unsettled by surging crude oil prices and conflicting messages from U.S. and Iranian leaders. President Trump says he extended his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz because negotiations to end the war are “going very well,” while Iran has denied any direct talks and continues its blockade of the vital waterway in the Persian Gulf.
“Each time the conflict intensifies, oil spikes, stocks fall, and yields rise. Each time there is even a hint of restraint, those moves reverse,” said Nigel Green of investment firm deVere Group in an email. “The pattern now seems firmly established.”
A dip in U.S. consumer confidence added to investors’ unease, with the University of Michigan’s preliminary March sentiment index, released Friday, showing the lowest reading since December 2025. The drop in sentiment was more pronounced among middle- and high-income consumers.
“When we go to war, people anticipate worsening economic constraints, including higher prices. But they also anticipate volatility in their investments,” said Elizabeth Renter, senior economist at NerdWallet, in an email. “That’s why this time the dip in consumer sentiment is being felt across higher incomes and those with stocks.”
Higher oil prices
The fear in financial markets is that the war will disrupt the production and transport of oil and natural gas in the Persian Gulf for a long time. It could keep so much oil and gas out of the world’s markets that it sends a punishing wave of inflation through the global economy.
It would not only raise prices for drivers buying gasoline, but could also push businesses that use trucks, ships or planes to move their products to raise their own prices.
Crude oil prices rose again with no clear end in sight for the conflict. The price for Brent crude rose 4% on Friday to $105.32 a barrel and is up from roughly $70 before the war began. Benchmark U.S. crude rose 5.5% to settle at $99.64 per barrel.
If the war continues until the end of June, strategists at Macquarie say the price of oil could reach $200 per barrel. So far, the highest oil prices on record were just above $147 during the summer of 2008. That was when Iran’s missile testing, including one that could reach Israel, and strong demand from China helped send prices spiking despite the Great Recession.
Impact on bonds
Long-term Treasury yields rose even further in the bond market following Friday’s rise for oil prices. The yield for the 10-year Treasury climbed to 4.44% from 4.42% late Thursday and from just 3.97% before the war began.
That rise has already sent rates jumping for mortgages and for other loans taken by U.S. households and businesses, slowing the economy.
On Wall Street, most stocks fell, including two out of ever three in the S&P 500.
Among the few stocks to rise was Netflix, which added 0.3% a day after announcing price hikes for its services.

The Iranian regime’s retention of key nuclear weapons sites and material for building atomic bombs — highly enriched uranium — has led to new efforts by the U.S. and Israeli to take out the last vestiges of the regime’s program.
On Friday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that its “Air Force Struck the Arak Heavy Water Plant — A Key Plutonium Production Site for Nuclear Weapons.” The Arak plant is located in central Iran.
Prior to Friday’s attack, an IDF spokesperson, speaking in reference to Arak, told Fox News Digital there is a “high estimation” that attacks on “uranium enrichment sites are part of the plan.”:
The IDF declined to answer more specific questions about its target list and if any ground operations to retrieve the nuclear weapons-grade uranium were being considered.

Reuters, quoting regime media outlet Fars, reported that joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Friday hit the Khondab heavy water research reactor.
A statement released by the IDF said, “Heavy water is a unique material used to operate nuclear reactors, such as the inactive Arak reactor, which was originally designed to have weapons-grade plutonium production capabilities. These materials can also be used as a neutron source for nuclear weapons.
“The plant was a significant economic asset for the terror regime and served as a source of income for the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization, generating tens of millions of dollars for the regime each year.”
The regime’s foreign minister posted a condemnation of Israel and warned the Jewish state, “Iran will exact HEAVY price for Israeli crimes.”
According to an article published by the Washington, D.C.-based Institute for Science and International Security (ISIS), “The IR-40 Arak, aka Khondab, Heavy Water Reactor and Heavy Water Production Plant date to the early 2000s. … The reactor core design was ideal for making substantial amounts of weapon-grade plutonium for nuclear weapons.”
Jason Brodsky, the policy director of United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), told Fox News Digital, “The one nuclear site which hasn’t been hit to date has been Pickaxe Mountain, so striking that site as part of Operation Epic Fury will be important to further degrade the Iranian nuclear program.”
A White House spokesperson referred Fox News Digital to President Trump’s Cabinet meeting comments about Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
“We’re free to roam over their cities and towns and destroy all of their crazy nuclear weapons and missiles and drones that they’re building,” Trump said Thursday.

David Albright, a physicist, founder and president of the Institute for Science and International Security, told Fox News Digital that with respect to key nuclear weapons facilities that remain, “The elephants in the tent are Natanz and Isfahan. There was an attack on Natanz that the Iranians revealed, but the Israelis said we are not aware of an attack. So, it must have been the U.S.”
“The Iranians were doing recovery operations in the underground fuel enrichment plant there and continuing to build this Pickaxe Mountain tunnel complex, which could hold enriched uranium. Right next to it is another tunnel complex that was built much earlier, around 2007. … And the Iranians sealed it up, fortified it. There is something obviously important there.”
Albright said U.S. and Israeli airstrikes “have not attacked the underground Isfahan site. We know, according to the IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency], highly enriched uranium is in that site. There may be an enrichment plant under construction in that underground complex. We would like that site to be attacked.”

Albright warned that the war should not end like the previous U.S.-Israel war with Iran in 2025 with Tehran retaining the “crown jewels” of its atomic weapons program — highly enriched uranium and a number of centrifuges.
“You don’t want it to come out of this war with the same kind of nuclear weapons capabilities that it had at the end of June war with a higher incentive to build a bomb,” Albright said. That is why it’s so important “to finish the job” in Iran, he added.
