With several teams kicking off their organized team activities this week, the NFL offseason is in full swing.
Teams have OTAs sprinkled in over the next three weeks before a month-long break until training camp begins in mid-to-end July.
We’ll be reviewing the major offseason changes for all 32 teams in addition to previewing what to expect from each team as they head into training camp. Below is our 2026 training camp preview for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Analysis:
For the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era, the Chiefs finished with less than 11 wins and they didn’t win a division title. And Kansas City doesn’t even know if Mahomes will be healthy enough to play in Week 1 following his torn ACL suffered at the end of last season.
But the team did its best to reload this offseason.
The Chiefs re-signed tight end Travis Kelce, they added several playmakers in the draft in cornerback Mansoor Delane, defensive tackle Peter Woods, edge-rusher R Mason Thomas, and safety Jadon Canady, and they added some potential starters in running back Kenneth Walker III, defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga, cornerback Kaiir Elam, and safety Alohi Gilman.
If Mahomes isn’t cleared by Week 1, the Chiefs’ future will be in Justin Fields’ hands. His dual-threat ability could be an asset in head coach Andy Reid’s offensive system, and he has the offensive playmakers — Walker, Kelce, Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Tyquan Thornton — to be successful.
With the Broncos and Chargers bringing back most of their rosters from last season, the Chiefs will have a tough time dethroning either of them for the AFC West title. But if Mahomes plays the entire season, Kansas City shouldn’t be counted out.
Double-digit wins and a playoff spot should be well within reach for the Chiefs in 2026.
