On Thursday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued a public health alert for meat and poultry products that contain FDA-regulated ingredients formulated with dry milk powder.
The dairy-based product, which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has now recalled, could have been contaminated with salmonella, a bacterium that causes food poisoning.
The recall included three of Great Value’s frozen pizzas, sold at Walmart stores nationwide (U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service)
Six products with the affected dry milk powder have been recalled, including Mama Cozzi’s Biscuit Crust Sausage & Cheese Breakfast Pizza and another called Biscuit Crust Cooked Pork Belly Crumbles, Cooked Bacon Topping, Pepper & Onion Breakfast Pizza. They were both sold at Aldi stores nationwide.
The recall also includes three Great Value frozen pizzas: Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch, Ultra Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch and Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch — all sold at Walmart stores across the country.

In addition, Culinary Circle’s Ultra Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch frozen pizza and Pork King’s Sour Cream & Onion Pork Rinds and Party Size Sour Cream & Onion Pork Rinds have been recalled.
In its announcement, the food safety agency said there’s “no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption” of these pizzas or pork rinds. However, the agency is urging consumers to throw the products away immediately or return them where they bought them for a full refund.
Recalled items can be identified with their production dates, Best By dates, lot codes and establishment numbers, found here. The agency says it expects to identify and recall additional products made with the dry milk powder.

People suffering from salmonella infections can develop symptoms within 12 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food, according to the FDA. Symptoms — which last from four to seven days and usually go away without treatment — can include diarrhea, fever and abdominal cramps. People with severe infections can experience high fever, headaches, lethargy, a rash or blood in the urine or stool.
In recent months, several food products have been recalled due to concerns about potential salmonella infections. Last week, Ghirardelli recalled dozens of its hot cocoa and frappe mixes over concerns that its milk powder was contaminated with salmonella. However, in a statement, the chocolate company said it was issuing the recall “out of an abundance of caution,” and that no illnesses were reported.
In March, Costco recalled its Meatloaf with Mashed Yukon Potatoes and Glaze because an ingredient in it was potentially contaminated with salmonella.
The affected meatloaf products had sell-by dates between March 5 and March 16, 2026. Recalled meals were sold at Costco stores between March 2 and March 13 in 26 states.

On a March afternoon, artificial intelligence detected something resembling smoke on a camera feed from Arizona’s Coconino National Forest. Human analysts verified it wasn’t a cloud or dust, then alerted the state’s forest service and largest electric utility.
One of dozens of AI cameras installed for the utility Arizona Public Service had spotted early signs of what came to be known as the Diamond Fire. Firefighters raced to the scene and contained the blaze before it grew past 7 acres (2.8 hectares).
As record-breaking heat and an abysmal snowpack raise concerns about severe wildfires, states across the fire-prone West are adding AI to their wildfire detection toolbox, banking on the technology to help save lives and property.
Arizona Public Service has nearly 40 active AI smoke-detection cameras and plans to have 71 by summer’s end, and the state’s fire agency has deployed seven of its own. Another utility, Xcel Energy in Colorado, has installed 126 and aims to have cameras in seven of the eight states it serves by year’s end.
“Earlier detection means we can launch aircraft and personnel to it and keep those fires as small as we can,” said John Truett, fire management officer for the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.
ALERTCalifornia is a network of some 1,240 AI-enabled cameras across the Golden State that work similar to the system in Arizona.
Human intervention keeps the risk of false positives low and trains the technology to become more accurate, said Neal Driscoll, geology and geophysics professor at the University of California, San Diego, and founder of ALERTCalifornia.
“The AI that’s being run on the cameras is actually beating 911 calls,” he said.
In Arizona, California and beyond, the technology is mostly used in high-risk areas that are sparsely populated, rural or remote, where a blaze might not be quickly spotted by human eyes.
“It’s just the ones where we won’t get a 911 call for a long time, it is extremely helpful to have that AI always monitoring that camera,” said Brent Pascua, battalion chief for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, or Cal Fire. “In many cases, we’ve started a response before 911 was even called, and in a few cases, we’ve actually started a response, went there, put the fire out, and never received a 911 call.”
Pano AI, whose technology combines high-definition camera feeds, satellite data and AI monitoring, has seen a growing interest in its cameras since launching in 2020. They’ve been deployed in Australia, Canada and 17 U.S. states, including Oregon, Washington and Texas. Its customers include forestry operations, government agencies and utilities, including Arizona Public Service.
Last year, its technology detected 725 wildfires in the U.S., the company said.
“In many of these situations, we hear from stakeholders that the visual intelligence, the time, really, really gives them a head start and some of these could have taken off into hundreds if not thousands of acres,” said Arvind Satyam, the company’s co-founder and chief commercial officer.
Cindy Kobold, an Arizona Public Service meteorologist, said the technology notifies them about 45 minutes faster on average than the first 911 call.
Satyam said development of the technology was driven by the lack of hardened solutions to combat worsening wildfires. Climate change — caused by burning oil, gas and coal — is warming the planet and fueling dry conditions that supercharge infernos, making them burn hotter, faster and more frequently. The technology helps firefighters to safely and effectively respond while protecting communities and infrastructure, he said.
One of the biggest obstacles to implementation is the price tag; Pano AI, for instance, charges around $50,000 annually per camera. The cost also includes fire risk analysis and 24/7 intelligence center.
False alarms present a challenge, which can be costly in terms of time and attention, said Patrick Roberts, a senior researcher with the nonprofit research group RAND who recently finished a project on accelerating innovation in wildfire management.
And when the AI accurately detects a fire, it doesn’t tell stakeholders the best course of action.
“Do you send help right away? Do you monitor? Should you worry about it? Where do you send help? Do you think about evacuation? All this still requires people and decision support systems,” said Roberts.
In highly populated areas, people tend to spot and call in fires pretty quickly, and the tech is not so useful when extreme weather events, such as hurricane-force winds, intensify and rapidly shift the flames, as happened in Los Angeles last year.
Pascua says the technology complements Cal Fire’s work.
“As the fire moves and shifts around, that’s where the human factor comes in and decides which tactics are best in fighting the fire. AI can only do so much,” he said. “It just provides that real time information where we can make better decisions on the fire ground.”
AI can also be employed to identify the best places to thin vegetation and burn cool fires, and even to monitor air quality for signs of smoke, just like your home’s carbon monoxide sensor, said Roberts, but “1,000 times more sensitive.”
At George Mason University in Virginia, professor Chaowei “Phil” Yang is working with researchers from California State University of Los Angeles, the city of LA and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory to create a system that forecasts where a fire will burn and which communities will be hardest hit by smoke pollution.
The idea is to give agencies real-time maps so they can make quick, life-saving decisions about evacuations, school and road closures, and send out early air quality warnings. Yang said they hope the technology will be operational in three years.
“AI in wildfires, it’s no longer just speculative. It’s really being used,” said Roberts, and it’s use will only continue to grow.
“The future is AI everywhere,” he said, “and the lines will blur between AI wildfire detection and just wildfire detection as the lines will blur in other areas of our life.”

It’s a night fashionistas and celebrity-watchers look forward to all year: The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit, known around the globe as the Met Gala, takes place on Monday, May 4, 2026, in New York City.
The Spring 2026 exhibition, titled “Costume Art,” explores the intersection of fashion and art by pairing garments with objects from the museum’s collection, according to organizers. The dress code for the 2026 Met Gala, which ties into the exhibit’s theme, is “Fashion is Art.”
The exhibit is funded largely by contributions from the Met Gala, where every year the biggest and wealthiest names gather to show off the best in fashion.
Vogue magazine’s Anna Wintour, who is also a trustee of the museum, has co-chaired the event since 1995. This year’s co-chairs include Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams. The exhibition and benefit are made possible by Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, the Met said.

Last year’s Met Gala theme, titled “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” invoked Black creativity, innovation and expression in fashion, culture and style. The dress code was dubbed “Tailored for You,” calling for a focus on suiting and menswear, according to the Met.
The exhibit explored the stories of Black style told through clothing by the African diaspora beginning in the 18th century.

In 2024, the Met Gala explored the themes of rebirth and renewal through nature and the passage of time. Referencing the 1962 J.G. Ballard short story “The Garden of Time” celebrities, entrepreneurs, athletes and designers wore floral gowns and referenced nature’s everlasting forms.
Bad Bunny wore Margiela and Jennifer Lopez wore a Schiaparelli design. Both co-chaired the event with Wintour, who wore a Loewe custom floor-length jacket adorned in feathers that formed tulip bouquets. But Zendaya, another gala co-chair, stole the night by walking the carpet twice. The second installment of a two-part exhibition on fashion in the United States, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” celebrated two centuries of American identity through fashion’s eyes. “Gilded Glamour” graced the gala’s red carpet and American history references were prevalent.
The most recognized garment belonged to Marilyn Monroe. The nude, form-fitting number shined on the style icon while she serenaded then-president John F. Kennedy for his birthday in 1962. Kim Kardashian wore the dress after entering a deal with the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! museum to bring the garment out of its display. The uproar was immediate, as some alleged possible damage to the dress. Ripley’s was forced to respond denying the heated claims.

The first of two parts, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” wove together identities of the ever-changing U.S. through time, exploring the emotions behind the country’s evolving culture. Instagram sponsored the event and brought to the carpet executives turned celebrities, including author, viral influencer and director of fashion partnerships at Instagram Evan Chen, and the social app’s chief Adam Mosseri.

The Costume Institute has been celebrating those behind fashion since its inception, and in 1973 it began hosting the gala within the museum itself, Vogue recounts. Fashion authority Diana Vreeland brought to life “The World of Balenciaga” after exiting Vogue as editor-in-chief, and her tribute to Spanish designer Cristóbal Balenciaga left a blueprint for other designer-centered celebrations that followed.
In 2014, couturier Charles James’ work went on display at the Met and guests embraced brilliant gowns with his grandiose touch. James’ tailored and structural approach to the female form, mixed with modern fabrics, brought elegance and regalia to the occasion.

Anti-establishment influence inked its way into the Met’s history in 2013. Started in the 1970’s, the punk movement gave guests a reason to wear garments embellished with the spirit of teen disobedience and air of grungy D.I.Y. personal style. Madonna honored the era with fishnets, metal studs and silver chains adorning a Givenchy mini plaid blazer by Riccardo Tisci. Rebellion was also apparent in the hairstyles exhibited, most notably by singer Miley Cyrus, a fashion fanatic, whose short, spiked look paired perfectly with her risque fishnet Marc Jacobs gown.

That’s where the idea of the inner child comes in. Not as a trend, but as a way to understand why certain emotions feel so familiar, even now. And sometimes, the shift doesn’t come from big changes. It comes from the way you start talking to yourself in those moments.
Roxanne Perez received her WWE main roster call-up nearly a year ago when she qualified for the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match with a win over Becky Lynch and Natalya.
A few weeks later, Perez joined the Judgment Day faction as she replaced an injured Liv Morgan as one-half of the women’s tag team champions. Perez and Raquel Rodriguez held the title for more than a month before losing the titles on Night 1 of SummerSlam to Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

Morgan has had high praise for Perez since she joined “Monday Night Raw.”

Shares of eBay are soaring before the opening bell after Ryan Cohen’s GameStop announced an attempt to take over the company for about $56 billion, seeing it as a vehicle to compete with online retail giant Amazon
Shares of eBay are soaring before the opening bell Monday as Ryan Cohen’s GameStop pursues an approximately $56 billion takeover of the company, seeing it as a vehicle to compete with online retail giant Amazon.
The national gaming retailer said that its approximately 1,600 U.S. stores could become drop-off and shipping locations. One proposal includes live sales broadcasts from GameStop locations featuring eBay products.
“EBay has the second largest commerce franchise and there’s a big opportunity to do something much larger,” Cohen said in a CNBC interview Monday.
GameStop’s bid is $125 per share in cash and stock. The equity value of the proposed deal is $55 billion on paper.
EBay confirmed the huge bid on Monday and said that it has had no talks with GameStop or received any outreach from the company before it received the proposal.
The company’s board, along with financial and legal advisors, will review the offer and determine what course of action to take, eBay said.
GameStop said that it started accumulating shares in eBay beginning in February and currently has a 5% stake.
The company is looking to lower costs at eBay, saying that the online seller spent $2.4 billion on sales and marketing in fiscal 2025 while only adding 1 million net active buyers. GameStop says it will achieve $2 billion in annualized cost cuts within a year of the proposed transaction’s closing.
Cohen, who owns about 9% of GameStop, would serve as CEO of the combined company. He would only be compensated based on the combined company’s performance.
Cohen became CEO of GameStop in 2023. At the time the position had become a rotating door with the company trying to survive as streaming upended the gaming industry. GameStop became one of the most well-known meme stocks to create a frenzy among retail traders on Wall Street. The company’s shares took off in 2021 after a band of smaller-pocketed investors helped boost its stock by 1,000% in two weeks.
GameStop shares have fallen since then, but are still up more than 30% this year.

This year’s All-Ireland series is a little different, with the round-robin group stage that was used between 2023 and 2025 scrapped in favour of a revamped backdoor system.
The current iteration works as follows:
Round 1
The eight provincial finalists play home matches against the seven next best placed teams according to league position and last year’s Tailteann Cup winners.
Round 2A
The eight winners from the opening round will be drawn against each other in Round 2A. The four 2A winners then progress to the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
These games are scheduled to take place 13-14 June.
Round 2B
The eight Round 1 losers will face each other in Round 2B. The four losers in 2B will be eliminated.
These games are scheduled to take place 13-14 June.
Round 3
The four 2A losers will face the four 2A winners. A draw will determine the home venue for each pairing and will avoid provincial final repeats and Round 1 repeats where possible.
These games are scheduled to take place 20-21 June.
The four Round 3 winners will advance to the All-Ireland quarter-finals to face the four Round 2A winners.
The quarter-finals are scheduled to take place 27-28 June, with the semi-finals on 11-12 July and the final on 26 July.
